Vision

To prevent disability caused by rheumatoid arthritis (RA) throughout Latin America.
To cooperate in the search of better treatments for RA in Latin America: more effective, with fewer side effects and economically feasible.
To deepen the understanding of different aspects of this disease, with special emphasis in epidemiological issues; and, to develop strategies in order to face future challenges in Latin America.

Mission

To find and develop strategies that allow for a fluid communication with and between regional (State-Country), Pan-American health authorities (PAHO-PANLAR) and with the lay community; in order to show the breach between the treatments currently available, those offered in the real scenarios, and ways to close this breach.
